Gulyakhali beach

Guliyakhali Beach has not long gained its reputation. It is said that the name of this place was first discussed in 2014 by some students of CUET. Since then, the number of tourists has been increasing there. Guliyakhali has not been officially recognized as a tourist center yet.
However, this sightseeing spot is slightly different in nature and structure from other sightseeing spots. On one side you will see the horizon of the pair of water bodies, on the other side you will see the Keora forest. Looks like swamp forest and mangrove forest.
Green grass carpets the entire beach. You will look great. And a narrow canal is drawn through the middle of this green. It is like a small island.

How to get to Gulyakhali Beach

You can easily reach Gulyakhali beach from any part of the country can go. For that you have to come to Sitakunda first. You can come to Sitakunda from Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet in different ways.

Way to go from Dhaka to Sitakunda

Sitakunda can be reached by any bus from Dhaka to Chittagong. It's easy to get going. You will find AC and Non AC buses to reach Sitakunda. The rent will be 480-1250 taka. And of course tell the bus supervisor to drop Sitakund down.

Besides, you can go to Sitakund by taking the mail train from Dhaka to Sitakunda at a fare of Tk 120 per person. You can go to Feni by intercity train from Dhaka, the fare will be Tk 265-800 depending on the class. Sitakunda can be reached by local bus from Feni. A local bus fare from Feni to Sitakunda will cost 50 to 70 taka.

How to reach Sitakunda from Chittagong

You can get buses and taxis to Sitakunda from Alankar Mor, Khan Mor, Kadamtoli in Chittagong city. You can come to Sitakunda Bazar from any place you like.

How to get from Sitakund to Gulyakhali

You can take CNG or auto from Sitakund bus stand under the bridge to Gulyakhali beach embankment. The rent will be 30 taka. You can take auto reserve if you want. In that case the rent will be like 150-200 taka.

Where to eat and stay

Unfortunately, it is true that there is no accommodation and food in Gulyakhali Beach! There is only 1 small shop for light food. So on the way, take necessary food from Sitakunda market.

Although this place is a 1 day travel place. Still if you want to stay then you can stay at Saimun and Saudia Hotel in Sitakunda Bazar. Room rent will be like 300-1600 taka.

Gulyakhali Travel Tips

Better not stay here at night. The beach is not safe at night as there is no tourist police.

Never go far if you don't know how to swim.

Do not litter the travel area.

Know the time of high tide and low tide there.

It is best not to be near the beach during high tide.

When the tide rises, come off the beach. And during the tide, the water rises and the drains are filled. Then there may be a problem to cross.

And since it is not a tourist friendly beach, be careful when going into the sea.

Don't forget to take umbrella or raincoat while traveling here in summer.

The place is very secluded area so should not travel alone.

A traveler carries everything from cameras to mobiles, laptops, drones, etc. So one should always be careful while traveling in quiet places. It is impossible to say when the danger will happen.
